About Ms. Rzeszutko

I grew up in Washington, Illinois, where I was active in the concert, marching, and jazz bands as well as the choir program. I graduated from Bradley University with a degree in clarinet performance and received my teaching certification from DePaul University in Chicago. In 2005, I began teaching band at Limestone Community High School, then spent several years teaching band at Morton High School and, following that, general music at Harrison Primary in Peoria. I returned to Limestone as the assistant band director in 2011, and since 2015 I have been excited to be able to teach band at both Limestone and Oak Grove! When I'm not teaching music, I enjoy spending time with my four-year-old son, Isaac, and our two cats, Addison and Ivy, running and training for races, performing with the Prairie Wind Ensemble, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. My mission is to create a positive, fun, and safe environment for all band members, to provide the best musical experiences possible for my students, and to help each band member reach his or her fullest potential and develop a lifelong love of making music. I'm looking forward to another awesome year of creating great music with the Oak Grove Bands!
